An ACR procurement can trust, because every line has evidence.
Buyers in government, higher education, and enterprise read your Accessibility Conformance Report closely. We write it from real testing, use the conformance terms honestly, and explain every gap in words a reviewer can act on.

The VPAT® is a blank form. The ACR is what buyers read.
VPAT® stands for Voluntary Product Accessibility Template. It is a registered service mark of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), and the current version is 2.5Rev. The template stays empty until someone tests a product and fills it in. The completed document is an Accessibility Conformance Report, or ACR.
Procurement reviewers have seen plenty of ACRs that claim Supports on every row, with no remarks, no test methods, and a date several releases old. Those reports raise more questions than they answer. A credible ACR names the product version, says how it was tested, and explains each gap in specific terms, with a fix date where one exists.
We write ACRs only from testing evidence: a Baclion audit of the same version, or a recent audit by another firm that we've verified.
Which edition your buyers expect
VPAT® 2.5Rev comes in four editions. Choose the one that matches where you sell; we can produce more than one from the same audit.
| Edition | What it covers | Usually requested by |
|---|---|---|
| WCAG | WCAG 2.x success criteria at Levels A and AA, plus AAA if you choose | Private-sector buyers, universities, and anyone who asks for WCAG by name |
| Section 508 | The revised Section 508 standards, which incorporate WCAG 2.0 Level AA, plus 508's chapters on functional performance, software, and support documentation | U.S. federal agencies and their contractors, and state agencies that adopt 508 |
| EU | EN 301 549, the European standard for ICT accessibility, including its web, document, and software clauses | Buyers in the European Union, and sellers preparing for the European Accessibility Act |
| INT | WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 together in one report | Products sold to government and enterprise buyers in several markets |
Four conformance terms, used honestly
Every criterion in an ACR gets one of a fixed set of terms. The words matter, and reviewers notice when they're stretched.
Supports
The functionality meets the criterion without known defects, or meets it through an equivalent alternative. We use it only when testing found no failures.
Partially Supports
Some functionality does not meet the criterion. The remark says which part, where it is, and what a user experiences.
Does Not Support
Most of the functionality does not meet the criterion. It's an uncomfortable answer, and an honest one is worth more to a buyer than a vague Partially Supports.
Not Applicable
The criterion isn't relevant to the product, such as captions for a product with no video. We say why, so the reviewer doesn't have to guess.
Remarks that stall a review, and remarks that move it forward
Remarks that stall
- Supports on every row, with no remarks at all
- Partially Supports. Some images may lack alt text.
- Testing was performed with automated tools.
- No product version, or a report date from several releases ago
Remarks that move it forward
- Partially Supports. Thumbnails in the search results grid have empty alt text, so screen-reader users hear only the file name. A fix is planned for the next minor release.
- Tested with NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android, keyboard only, and 400 percent zoom
- The product version and evaluation date on page one, matching the release the buyer is evaluating
- Does Not Support, with a dated plan for the fix
From test plan to published report
Pin the version and edition
We agree which product version, platforms, features, and edition the report covers. An ACR describes one version, so we fix it in writing.
Test the product
A WCAG 2.2 audit of that version supplies the evidence. For the Section 508 and EU editions, we also review software behavior, documentation, and support channels, which those standards cover.
Write every row
An analyst assigns a conformance term to each criterion and writes the remark from the findings, naming where the problem is and who it affects.
Review with your product team
You check facts, add roadmap dates, and confirm product names. A row moves from Partially Supports to Supports only after a fix and a retest, and that rule protects you in procurement.
Publish and refresh
We deliver an accessible PDF and an HTML version for your website, and update the report with each major release, or sooner if a fix changes a conformance term.

About this serviceThe ACR price assumes a Baclion audit of the same product version. If you have a recent audit from another firm, we verify a sample of its findings before we write from it.
What vendors ask before their first ACR
Can you fill in our VPAT® without testing?
No. An ACR written without testing is a guess presented as a fact, and reviewers ask how each claim was verified. We write reports only from testing evidence we've produced or checked ourselves.
Will Partially Supports cost us the deal?
Buyers expect most products to have gaps. What erodes their trust is a report that hides them. A specific remark with a fix date reads better than a blanket Supports that the buyer's own testers can disprove in an afternoon.
Which version of WCAG should the report cover?
Whichever your buyers require, and often more than one. Section 508 references WCAG 2.0 Level AA, the Justice Department's Title II rule uses WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and some questionnaires name WCAG 2.2. Testing against 2.2 covers every earlier criterion except 4.1.1 Parsing, which 2.2 removed.
How often should we update the ACR?
With every major release, and whenever a fix changes a conformance term. An old report on a new version misleads the reader. Baclion Watch can flag when a release changes the evidence behind a row.
Does Baclion sign the report?
The ACR is your document, published under your name. If you want it on the record, we list Baclion as the evaluator and describe our methods, which many reviewers like to see.
